The survey projects the net employment outlook in the country to be 33 percent, which as per industry watchers is a clear indication of the rise in hiring activity in the coming months.

A G Rao, Group Managing Director, Manpower Group India says, “India’s first-quarter hiring pace is expected to remain robust, especially in the mining and construction sector where job seekers are expected to benefit from aggressive efforts to improve infrastructure throughout the country.”

IT and ITES are also projected to revamp their hiring plans in the coming months, while wholesale and retail sectors in addition to mining and construction sectors are most likely to experience the most optimistic hiring activity during this period.

Taking about the optimistic hiring plans, Nene further added that, “There is still a certain degree of caution in the air no doubt, but teams are stretched to their limit. Corporates are realizing in order to grow any further they have to hire. And this factor is expected to drive the recruitment market, at least in the first half of 2014.’’
