India Inc. Hiring Sentiment Stays Cautious In June- Says Naukri Job Speak Index

Functional Area Analysis:



ITES has seen 46 percent  increase in the demand for professionals in June’13 when compared to same period last year although on a month on month basis the index is showing a dip of 10 percent. Software Services is stable in hiring professionals and is still showing growth in hiring numbers when compared to last year. Banking & Insurance has witnessed the number of professionals being hired going up by 5 percent in June’13 when compared to previous month. Demand for professionals in HR, sales and accounts also showed a dip in hiring numbers in the range of 7 percent to 12 percent this month.



City Wise Analysis:    



All top cities have seen lower hiring numbers in June ’13 when compared to May’13. , On a year on year basis, Delhi / NCR have seen a 21 percent increase in hiring levels with Bangalore & Kolkata remaining almost stable in job creation.  Job demand in Hyderabad was up by 7 percent in June’13 compared to the same period last year.  Both Chennai & Pune saw hiring going down by 5 percent in June’13 over June’12. Mumbai has seen a decline in hiring by 8 percent during the same time period.
