India Inc. Hiring Sentiment Stays Cautious In June- Says Naukri Job Speak Index

New Delhi: The Naukri Job Speak index at 1230, is 7 percent lower in June’ 13 when compared to May’ 13, however the index shows an increase of 2 percent when compared to June’12. Among the metros, while hiring was low in June’13 over May’13, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata have seen a positive trend in hiring on a year on year basis. 



Delhi-NCR has emerged as the major hiring hub with 21 percent rise in hiring in June ’13 when compared to June’12; Mumbai has seen a decline in hiring by 8 percent during the same time period. For most of the sectors, the hiring figures have been slightly sluggish on a month on month basis. However on a year-on-year basis, ITES sector created the maximum jobs with 47 percent increase in the index value in June’13 followed by Healthcare, Banking and IT with 14 percent, 5 percent and 3 percent rise in values.
