As the digital world continues to evolve and provide on-demand information, the demand for proficient daily newscasts and the need of print newspapers is diminishing at a rapid pace. Though this profession once seemed glamorous, declining job opportunities, increased stress levels and lower income have landed this profession in the toughest jobs list.



With the industry inclined to move towards online and mobile news, the pressure on these professionals has mounted. They are now forced to do other work, apart from writing articles. And in many situations, these professionals are also asked to do much more for less than ordinary pay.



Oil Rig Worker



The primary objective of these professionals is to perform maintenance work on the rigs and pipelines. Oil rig workers in all probability are least likely to climb the career ladder or reach greater heights. And to make matters worse, these professionals work under potentially lethal environment that is both physically and mentally exhausting. The added level of danger and the inherent stress levels are some of the factors responsible for the hard landing of this profession in the list.
