Flexible Working Arrangements Boost Productivity: Survey

New Delhi: Flexible working practices improve employee productivity and creativity, says a study.
According to a report by workplace provider Regus, 75 percent of Indian respondents believe flexible working is a critical measure for achieving higher productivity.
Besides, 77 percent of Indian respondents said flexi-working encourages greater sense of responsibility and time management, while 77 percent said that this practice fosters greater creativity.
It further said that flexible working also improves the quality (67 percent) and speed (65 percent) of decision-making.
"Flexible working, with its added benefits of improved creativity and networking opportunities enabler, takes pride of place with global businesses resolutely supporting its critical role," Regus India Chief Operating Officer Sahil Verma said.
"Businesses know that flexible working enhances productivity, but how this comes about is clearly a mixture of many factors ranging from better time management and responsibility to reduction of stress.
"Given that flexible working also significantly reduces unused office space it is a win-win solution for businesses hoping to make a cost saving and improve worker productivity and happiness," he added.
These findings are part of a new global research report from Regus based on responses from 20,000 senior business managers in 95 countries, including India.
