Fellowship Programme for Indian Students at U.S. Tech Institute

New Delhi: An endowed fellowship programme has been established at the California Institute of Technology which will provide opportunity to one Indian meritorious student to pursue post-graduate programme in aerospace engineering.



While informing this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanasamy said the fellowship will be named in the memory of Satish Dhawan, the distinguished alumnus of the institute and former chairman of ISRO.



"The fellowship will provide an opportunity to one meritorious student from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) to pursue post-graduate programme in aerospace engineering," he said.



The programme will begin from September this year, the minister added.
