The technological advancements, operational efficiency, increased productivity, as well as the ease of access to large caches of data via internet and other mediums are seen as the major reasons that have eliminated the requirement of large workforce to manage the organizational tasks. Rubbing salt into the wounds of these professionals is the paltry employment opportunity that is expected to grow a rate that is below the average growth rate of other professions (as per the BLS report), which is not going to enough to revive the fortunes of this line of work. Moreover, technologies such as voicemails, easy-to-access work processors and more have enabled individuals to carry out their own clerical tasks.
