Highlighting amid employees who waste 10 hours or more a week at work, the survey revealed that 35 percent are Gen Y’ers, aged 26 to 35 years.  15 percent are employees aged 25 or under, 59 percent of high school graduates disclose to wasting time, 67 percent of PHD holders waste time, Percentage of time wasters with bachelors and masters degree are 66 percent and 65 percent respectively.



Further, as 37 percent of respondents opined that they are not challenged by their work and 32 percent stated that they waste time because they have no incentives to work harder, suggests that employers should definitely take the matter into consideration and provide the employees with adequate incentives to motivate them in order to stay more focused at work. Employers should also facilitate their employees with interesting work assignments and projects to keep them more inclined at work because a 23 percent of workers said they waste time because they are bored with their job. The other reason of wasting time was job dissatisfaction which should also be taken into account by employers as 30 percent employees said that they waste time because they are dissatisfied with their overall job.
