Though, there were a big gap between U.S. and Indian work culture especially in terms of succession planning and talent management, today it seems to be narrowing as the companies started to spend much time on these issues.  Employers are in a competition to chase the top talents here while in another side, U.S. is under an economic slowdown which can affect its hiring strategies and also retaining of employees’ strength. Having a clear picture of responsibilities at work and well-defined business process were not seen in companies here a decade ago.

Flexible deployment policies are said to be another exceptional practices in Indian work place where U.S. follows a strictly executed employment policies which clearly says what an employer will pay and what they won’t.

Work-life balance in India is considerably low, as employees here are asked to work for ten hours a day. Lateness and lack of work commitments are the worst part of employees here, while these are highly practiced among American employees, Dr. Pawan Goenka opined.

Also important assessments are left the criticism unstated in India while they found comparatively soft in assessments and are turned to give a positive feedback during a review meeting. In the U.S., it is found more balanced to give out appreciation.
