Bangalore: BPOs are now going the IT way. In the wake of acute shortage of proficient workforce, leading firms in the BPO sector have now started partnering with top colleges and universities in the country, with a view to tap raw talent, as reported by J Srikant of ET Bureau.

In fact, BPOs have gone a step ahead. And unlike their IT services counterparts who mostly concentrate on engineering colleges, BPOs are casting web on a wider array of specializations and are eyeing to lure talent from commerce, medical and law backgrounds.

Top executives in the industry such as Keshav R Murugesh (CEO at WNS Global Services) exclaimed that, the companies are in the process of short listing potential hubs in the country that can provide a continuous pool of talented individuals. Murugesh even added that, this process of screening for talent has immense potential and is bound to grow in the future.
