Set up a National Learning Corporation
The digital education and eLearning have certainly scaled up their presence in the education system, but do not have clear standards spelt out by which they have to abide.  In order to improve the quality of eLearning and stay on top of latest technological innovations, the Government should set up the National Learning Corporation as a public-private partnership.
With the help of the NLC the Govt can lay down eLearning measures, carry out research in teaching methods, offer training and development to faculty and so on.
Exemption from Service Tax
Like government regulated educational institutions, private educational institutions should also be exempted from Service Tax. The reason for this is that the service rendered by both is similar, so the differential treatment in taxation is unjustified.
Also, by doing this the educational institutions will encourage more private players to invest in the educational sector, improving opportunities and standards for students across the country.
