India is being increasingly viewed as a R&D hub and several organizations are investing heavily in R&D centers across India. This is bound to have a positive impact on the employment opportunities for these professionals.



R&D professionals are engineering technicians who use their knowledge to assist engineers and scientists to create, design and construct new products or equipments that will be then marketed and sold to the consumers. And their job description includes to test and conduct experiments on the product produced, bring together data and record of all the outcomes to spot if the product is operational and will be marketable to the general public.



R&D professionals are hired in a variety of industries including aerospace engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, electromechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering industrial engineering and more.



As per Payscale, the average annual income for an R&D professional is in the range of 3 lakh to 30 lakh.
