An IT security manager, also known as data security officer or data security manager, is mainly responsible for setting up organizational policies, procedures and methods to protect sensitive data and information from being compromised. They are in charge for putting in place appropriate system security policies that can eliminate computer hackers, viruses and other threats associated with data security.
