Its tie-up with IMI and IIT-Delhi offers full time MBA and M-Tech programs to its staffs. Its new concept called PUPs (Providing Urban Facilities at Projects and Stations) aims to improve the work life quality of its employees and families, though some work in remote areas. This 1975 founded Indian public sector company is the largest Indian state-owned electric utilities company. Listed in Forbes Global 2000 for 2011, New Delhi based NTPC ranked it 348th in the world. With an average of 25,345 employees, its services include in electricity generation and distribution, natural gas exploration, production, transportation and distribution sectors.
