2. Be friendly with them:
Just because you have become their boss from being their friend at one point of time, doesn’t mean you can start ruling upon them without even thinking once. So, as a boss, you need to have the talent of being friendly with them and give them enough space to convey their opinions in front of you without any hindrance about what might happen in future if they put an idea in front of you.
You need to maintain a firm relationship with your ex-peers all the time, which means you shouldn’t just give off them much freedom than they expected nor you need to hook up their neck because you are their boss. Also do ask them, how have they are getting adjusted to these new changes in their professional life and also ask them if they have any issues that are bothering them a lot, says Asif Upadhye, CFO at employee engagement firm Never Grow Up.
