BANGALORE: In the latest Randstad Award survey, Google India tops the list as the most attractive employer in India, with the second place taken up by Sony India for the year.

The survey further suggests that pay cheques are the only requisites or factors to vouch for employee stickiness. The pattern or trend for this year shows the balance in work life and growth opportunities which was the focal deciding factor for an employee to work in a company, reports ET.

“The drivers behind an employee's desire to stay with an employer have changed over the years. The year's survey clearly shows that work-life balance and career growth opportunities are the main factors for the Indian workforce to stay with an employer in addition to competitive salary," said Randstad India CEO Moorthy Uppaluri.

Out of the total respondents in the survey, 42pct favored good work-life balance as one of the main factors to stick on with an employer. The Randstad Award survey covered around 8,560 employees across 150 large companies in India. Furthermore, a majority of the respondents opted for a vocation or a designated sector that involves information technology and communication, which is followed by FMCG, retail and automobiles.

Employee benefits and Salary are still the top prevailing factors among the Indian workforce. According to the survey, a comparison of a 2014 study indicates the importance of salaries among employees has amounted steadily, followed by long-term job security.
