With this is mind, we have put together a list of countries that have curiously developed an opposite tread when it comes to working hours compared to the rest of the world, as listed by Annalyn Kurtz of CNN Money.

#9. Italy

Average Hours Per Week: 36 Hrs

Average Annual Wages: $34,000

Like some of the other countries in the European Union, the government of Italy has backed and encouraged work-sharing since ages.

The average work week in the country is around 36 hours and maximum work week for full-time employees can reach up to 40 hours, plus an overtime limit of 8 hours. If any employer exceeds this limit, they are liable for fines.
