By Pareto's principle, 20% efforts will yield 80% of desired outcomes while 80% more energy is required to achieve the balance 20% outcomes or the perfection you seek. Seeking perfection does more mischief to your career than good. 100% perfection is rarely expected, unless you are exercising mission critical skills as a rocket scientist or a neuro surgeon. Multitasking can reduce the productivity and efficiency at certain points. The necessary skill to become a manager is, knowing exact area to seek perfection and conserve efforts.
