A key tip here for candidate is to never indulge in talks that don't relate to the job. As every admission interview is an opportunity to sell yourself as an individual to reinforce the idea that you would be a great fit. Even with questions that seem non-job-related like this one, candidates should make their answer count.

The interviewer might ask this question in one of many ways, it’s not a tricky question, the only intensions behind this is that the interviewer is simply trying to get the best of you. As college is about more than academic classes, the admissions persons want to know how you keep yourself busy in your free time. So, when you answer the question, candidates should make sure that they actually sound like they do interesting things in their spare time, as answers like I like hanging out with my friends, Facebooking and partying will not impress.
