4. In a follow-up thank you note, clarify what went wrong: You should acknowledge all that blunders you have made during the course of the job interview. Likewise, if you feel that all the answers that you have given during the course of the job interview were off target, you must send a well written follow-up letter to the hiring manager admitting that you misunderstood the questions. This is sure to make some difference, advices Jay Canchola, an HR business partner for Raytheon.
