These are professionals who use their knowledge of tax codes to organize the tax returns of their clients and ensure that they receive the maximum benefits allowed under the law.



These professionals must be prepared for anything and anyone. And the line of work is not a typical 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job as it involves duties that are not just limited to traditional tax preparation. Flexibility, multitasking and curiosity are the order of the day for these professionals.



This line of work can be labeled as a seasonal job, since most tax preparers typically work during the end of a financial year. And during off-seasons these professionals are forced to find some alternative job to ensure that there is food on the table throughout the year.    



The average salary for these professionals is roughly around
2.50 lakhs per annum, as listed on the PayScale website. And the lower 10 percent of these professionals earn approximately 2.27 lakhs.
