Median Salary: 1.70 to 11.43 lakh

This is a field that is an amalgamation of 3 different disciplines namely art, engineering and construction. And as a professional in this line of work, your primary objective will be to design plans and supervise the construction of a building, house or any other structure.



Buildings must be safe, secure, functional, economical, and most of all, must suit the needs of its occupants, and as a professional in this field you will have to consider all these factors and a host of other details while designing a building or other structures.  



Visualization, resourcefulness, creativity, communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a part of the team are some of the necessary traits that can help you succeed in this line of work. Basic computer skills are also necessary for writing specifications, and for 2D & 3D drafting using CADD programs.



A professional degree in architecture is necessary to become an architect.
