Salience

Salience implies the most important factor or noticeable attitude in you. During the interview, your only goal is to convey your salience to the interviewer. Make enough preparations so that you clearly define your salience to the hiring manger. It should not be a deliberate effort, that he loses interest. Spell out in the course of conversation so that he gets a solid reason for you being a better candidate than the rest.

Stereotyping

Interviewing definitely involves certain stereotypes that stand true for all applicants. Hiring managers are well aware of these stereotypes as they conduct interviews on a regular basis. Break the ice and try to avoid any such stereotype in the resume you submit or the conversation you make. This will pull up your candidature, widening the scope of getting hired by the particular organization.
