Bangalore: In this male dominated world, most people think that women always end up getting a salary that is less when compared to men. Contrary to this popular perception, there are some professions where females are earning more than men. Here is a list of such professions where women have the upper hand in terms of the salary, as reported by various sources.



1. IT Network Engineer:



Network engineers are basically responsible for the day-to-day operation of the computer networks within an organization. Their main objective is to ensure the smooth functioning of an organization’s communication networks, so as to provide maximum performance and productivity. Network engineers perform a wide variety of tasks starting from installing and supporting to organizing the computer network within an organization, which includes LANs (Local Area Network), WANs (Wide Area Network), intranets, network segments and other related systems.



As per the Christine Laue of AOL Jobs, though this is a male dominated industry, females have managed to gain the upper hand in terms of the salary. According to the PayScale website, women are receiving an average salary of around $64,200 per annum, which is 5 percent above the average salary for males in the same profession.
