66 Percent Indians Keen To Work Abroad: Study

BENGALURU: A research conducted by a British recruitment firm Michael Page, over 900 respondents reveals that 66pct of Indians are opting jobs overseas.



If looked at the same survey from a city – wise preview then, Chennai tops with 71pct candidates interested to make a career outside India. The second city in the row is the country capital of Delhi where 59pct showcased similar interest. 47pct from the city of Delhi are keen to develop new skills benefitting their career.



From the top city, Chennai 47pct is ready to move out for a job in the next 1-3months.



Of the total, only 41pct believes that India still has good career or job opportunities.



What drives the nation towards foreign countries over India?



Well, 46pct of the respondents consider salary as their only concern when it comes to job openings.



49pct of the surveyors from Mumbai also stated salary as their only reason to look for job outside the country.
