Micromax, the 12th largest handset manufacturer in the world, is another success story of modern India. From a very humble beginning in 2008, this small venture has galvanized the country and has managed to outshine biggies such as Nokia in terms of the market share. By offering high-end devices at a comparatively lower price, this Gurgaon-based handset manufacturer has grown faster than any of its local competitor and also is the first among a handful of desi brands to challenge the dominance of biggies such as Nokia, Samsung and so on.



The company is presently selling its products across 14 nations, which include UAE, Brazil, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kuwait, Maldives, Oman and Afghanistan.
