Shantanu Bala (19, Phoenix, AZ):  A man behind the software called Quicklyst and Ebook Glue’s founder, Shantanu Bala is one among the genus who has conducted a series of research over his student career. Bala  has also conducted research at the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing, and has worked on projects ranging from volunteer work at schools to creating new innovative interfaces. Bala is now working on a system for using a real-time video and audio feed that will in turn convey visual facial expressions and auditory cues using a series of vibrations across a user's skin. The research process on this innovative development aims to expand the potential scope of information that can be extracted and conveyed using digital sensors and haptic actuators.
