2. William Herschel:



German born British Astronomer, Sir Fredrick William Herschel was basically a composer who played the cello and the oboe. Later he was recognized also as an astronomer, technical expert as well after he discovered a new planet. For your note he had no formal education in astronomy. The planet which he discovered is named as Uranus and this discovery gave him immense popularity and additional to that he had also discovered two of its major moons namely the Titania and the Oberon. He has also discovered two moons of Saturn and infrared radiation. Herschel is also well known for his twenty four symphonies which he had composed.
