As a technical writer all you need to do is, take in complex technical information and put it across in lay man’s terms. You will be responsible for writing manuals that require technical language to describe the various processes and in some cases will also be responsible for producing articles and reports related to some kind of scientific research for magazines or websites.



Technical writers usually come from all kinds of backgrounds and all you need to get started in this line of work is a Bachelor’s degree in any stream and proficient knowledge about the fields such as engineering, web development and so on.
