4. Honduras



Central American republic country Honduras has been placed in the 3rd place with 19 percent as 30 percent females are employed whereas 51 percent of males are reported as not holding a full-time or part-time employment. Honduras has a literacy rate of 83.6 percent.

Education in Honduras is coexisting with private and public educational institutions. Public education system is free and six years of elementary education is must here. The public university in Honduras is National Autonomous University of Honduras and it has reached to the public through its various campuses in important cities. Hurricane Mitch in 1998 had demolished around 3,000 schools and many students here happened to be not receiving an education as the schools are less in number.
