5 Major Skills New IT Grads Lack

4. Basic Technology: In todays job market, it is the first priority of the employers to hire staffs with basic technology skills, especially in the IT sector. However, colleges do not teach the actual technology basics which are required for a job in a business firm, according to Jeff Bowden, director of IT systems at Dassault Systems, a software vendor in Auburn Hills, Mich. Jeff notes that the IT sector is advancing increasingly but there is a backsliding in the capability of IT graduates to manage simple tech tasks.
