Producer and Director

Producers and directors are mainly responsible for creating television shows, live theater, motion pictures and other performing arts productions. They manipulate and interpret a writer’s script to inform and entertain audience. Over the course of a single project, they are involved in initial development, casting, shooting, wrapping and every minute details related to production. They also play an important role in post production. They work with editors to make certain that the emotions in the scene are portrayed correctly, reflecting the original character driven by the narrator. They are also involved in grading of final images, sound mix, music composition of the film, and subsequent promotion of the finished motion picture.  

Although there is no specific educational requirement to become a director or a producer in India, most of them have a bachelor’s degree and some work related experience in fields such as script writing or acting.
