As per a study conducted by Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce, a college degree can boost an individual's earning potential by more than 40 percent. However the actual value varies wildly from one industry to another and there are a few disciplines where the return on investment isn’t certain.

Yes, it is worth to spend a few extra years in college for a job that will return on investment, but what is the use of chasing a job that requires loads of education and pays little.
