BANGALORE: India Inc. is predicted a 10.6 percent boost in the salary in 2015. The extrapolation was made at the Aon Hewitt’s Annual Salary increase Survey. The outcome of the survey reflects that the best employees would enjoy a 10.6 percent hike in the salary, reports ET.
The data analysis was drawn in from 580 companies for the 19th edition of this survey.
Salary Hikes“On the back of improving business confidence, a stable government and moderating inflation there is a significant improvement in business confidence across companies, however this confidences is not reflecting in salaries. The projected salary increase number shows a subtle improvement over salary increases in the last three years. Companies across industries are continuing to take a cautious stance and are not going for aggressive pay increases.” said Anandorup Ghose, Rewards Consulting Practice Leader at Aon Hewitt India.
A greater hike is projected in the sectors of Life Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Chemicals and Media. There is a significant impact on the real estate and Infrastructure which will witness an upsurge owing to positive sentiment in the economy. However, retail, financial institutions and hospitality would represent lower end of these projections.
Owing to the changing sentiments in the economy, the anticipation of the employees has increased. Meanwhile, the companies are careful about not being swept away by the increasing anticipations.
The top performance rating tripped by 30percent which indicates the company ratings have been stern. However, the key talent attrition rates of India Inc. in 2014 were accounted higher than in the year 2013. The companies now would sharper talent differentiations.
