Analytical Skills:
Basic computer knowledge is required, as without it a person won’t be able to understand and apply information. According to Bock, analytical training other than your general education makes you different from others in the labor market.
Accomplishment As Compared To Their Peers:
Google wants to know how much a person has accomplished as compared to his/her peer, be it on average basis. For example, a normal resume would include “I worked at x organization for 2 years and was given a certificate of high performance.” But Google wants “I accomplished X, as compared to average Y level by doing Z.”
Google Doesn’t Care About GPAs:
You may be the topper at your school or university, but that doesn’t matters to Google. They look for candidates who can solve or are interested in solving the puzzles which don’t have an obvious answer. While in academic environment one is trained well for an exact answer, when it comes to real life experiences, there is no certainty and one has to face such situations in work.
