Students aspiring to pursue a career in Lectureship and teaching in higher level of education system go for this exam.  National Eligibility Test measures the capability of a candidate as a teacher at the university and college level. The score of this entrance exam are also eligible for PSU jobs as per UGC declaration in 2013. The exam measures the teaching or research aptitude, comprehension ability, divergent thinking, reasoning ability, general awareness of a candidate.
