GATE  (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)
Engineers pursuing higher studies after graduation take up this exam. GATE analyzes their knowledge on the related stream in the field of science and engineering. The success in the exam means a direct entry to most prestigious Indian Institute of Science or any of the 17 IITs in the country. The examination is held online and the rank secured is valid for years. It is the only entrance exam for post graduation for engineers and students with science background whose rank is accepted by most of the institutes in India.
