3. Social workers: Social workers are required to work 24/7; therefore, it is not surprising to see this field of work amongst the top three in the list of careers with high level of depression. Moreover, professionals working as social workers are required to deal with abused, needy children or families on the edge of crisis. So automatically social workers need to work very hard and sacrifice too much of their personal life for social welfare, as a result they tend to be quite depressed.
