Anesthesiology Assistant



This is a career option that entails 100 percent job placement after graduation.



As an anesthesiology assistant you will be mainly responsible for providing assistance to an anesthesiologist in developing and executing the anesthesia care plan. And the typical job duties may include putting together pre-operative data, such as gathering appropriate health history; carrying out various preoperative tasks; carrying  out airway management and drug administration for induction and maintenance of anesthesia; lending a hand in the administering and monitoring of regional and peripheral nerve blockade; overseeing supportive therapy; regulating anesthetic levels on a minute-to-minute basis; carrying out intra-operative monitoring; providing recovery room care; and more. An anesthesiology assistant may also provide other support as per the established protocols, or may even participate in administrative and educational activities.
