Robert Frost
Frost, a four-time Pulitzer Prize winner in poetry and a native of San Francisco who had previously dropped out of Dartmouth after only two months, was accepted for admission at Harvard in 1897.  Two years later, Frost, who had married and become a father just prior to enrolling at Harvard, left school to support his growing family and working jobs as a teacher, cobbler, and farmer. Following his time in Harvard Frost later said, "They could not make a student of me here, but they gave it their best."
In 1912, Frost and his wife moved to England, where he was inspired by contemporary British poets. But when he returned to the U.S. a few years later, he was the most famous poet in the country.
Alexa Von Tobel
Having attended Harvard in 2002-2006   and 2008-2009 HBS Von Tobel graduated Magna Cum Laude Plus from Harvard College, where she was the first student to write a thesis on Bhutan. Having done so much, she couldn’t further make it through graduate school at Harvard but gained recognition after developing LearnVest, a startup that helps people with financial planning.
LearnVest, valued at about $100 million, is now one of the most important personal finance companies. Furthermore, President Barack Obama has also named Von Tobel as one of the first members of the Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship for her work with LearnVest.
