He is the third scientist to receive the highest civilian honor of the country. His full name is Professor Chintamani Nagesa Ramachandra Rao. In 2012, when his book ‘Understanding Chemistry’ was inaugurated for young readers, Rao himself said “I have enjoyed teaching chemistry to young people even though I have not done so for quite a while. Most people don’t like chemistry however.”
 He started his career as a lecturer at IISc, Bangalore and is presently the Head of the Scientific Advisory Council to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. During a session with young minds at Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi, he shared his believe, ‘whoever ruled Science will rule the World’.
So if you love science, don’t think twice to make efforts of getting under his influence. The man is known for replying to every e-mail he receives.
