Zappos.com is one of the world's largest online shoe stores. If you walk in to their office, you get three breaks in a day. Indians just get one break though.
A unique event of Zappos is Zalloween, a golf charity fundraiser with lots of flip cup, friendly rivalries, and fun and creative fashion shows, where employees model their latest Zappos purchases.
At Zappos new employees get a four-week training period at first, which makes the working part really easy. And guess what! It is a ‘paid training period’.
After a week of work, at Zappos, employees are assigned ‘The Offer’ that is, “If you quit today, we will pay you for the amount of time you’ve worked, plus we will offer you a $1,000 bonus.” They actually bribe you to leave because there is a long list of applicants in the HR-inbox.
