Linfen in China is the next city in focus in our list. Situated in the heart of coal belt of China, the inhabitants of this pre-historic city are facing grave health complications. The high level of pollution is taking a serious toll on them and an increasing number of people are reported to have contacted serious respiratory disorders such as bronchitis, pneumonia and even lung cancer. Added to it, the increasing levels of sulfur dioxide and treat of lead poisoning or Arsenicosis (a disease caused due to consuming water polluted due to elevated concentration arsenic) puts the health of techies at great risk.



This city has been identified as one of the most polluted city and the residents are claiming that they literally choke on coal dust in the evening. Linfen city also figures among the dirtiest cities in the world.
