BANGALORE: Recruiting managers are buried in resumes when there is an opening for any given job. With heaps of resumes and an array of interviews, hiring managers don’t find the time or the energy to examine each CV with measured eyes. It is for this reason that, the 6 seconds "fit/no fit" decision is put in practiced. One may be a perfect fit for a certain designated job opening, but if the resume fails to convey the message, it reflects poorly on the candidate, reports The Undercover Recruiter.

Here we list down the 10 things in one’s resume that could kill his chances of landing the job-

Pointless Details

A CV is distinguishable on its own and there is no need to label the word ‘Resume’ at the top of CV. Basic details that include name, residence and POINTLESS DETAILScontact information are  essentially placed at the top of the CV. One must avoid redundant details that make the resume lengthy and dull. Details such as date of when the resume was formed are uncalled for, and the only time when the date is needed is while mentioning one’s qualification and employment.
