Bangalore: You all must have got to know by now that you need to be very careful while posting on any of the social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter etc, because there were many examples of people getting fired from their companies because of commenting negatively about their employers or the company where they were working. Because of all these cases, the companies around the world have become quite strict while hiring their proper candidates. If you are about to attend an interview, be careful on what you have posted on your social network profile as well as be careful while tagging a photograph of yours because, at present social media screening has become as an increased focus for those who are interviewing you. So, be careful when you tag a party photograph or any other as that can be a main reason for you not getting a job, writes Darren Allan on IT ProPortal Website.

To exemplify this point, Eurocom conducted its 2012 annual technology market survey which showed that about 40 percent of the companies checked out the potential employee’s profiles across all the social networking sites. In that, about half of the companies i.e., about 20 percent of the companies rejected the candidates who appeared for the interview for the respective post as it was depended on what was discovered on that candidate’s profile on all the networking sites where he or she had an account.
