MTech Students Choose Society Over High Paying Jobs

BANGALORE: Education is the great emancipator, both for the individual and for society. In order to bring transformation, students in the competitive environment of modern society need to gain hands-on expertise and skills to serve the industry and that is what four MTech graduates and one alumnus of the IIIT-B, who garnered gold medals in IT and Society wants to do that is to serve the country, reports TNN.



 In order to bring transformation in primary education of the country to meet the global standards, the mission of these young students such as Ayushi Goel from Haryana, gold medalist in M Tech (IT and Society) four other M Tech graduates want to pay back the country by becoming entrepreneurs in their own field of study.



Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, director of IIT Kharagpur, who was one among them to advice these young students also called upon by telling them to make use of technology and knowledge to solve the problems of common people. "Are we doing anything for conservation of water and environment and improve the lives of people?" he said and added, "We make lot of money, its fine. But we are making the lives of luxurious people more luxurious."
