Zen Mobile named Vaibhav Shastri as CEO

Bangalore: Zen Mobile, which recently launched its pan-India operations under the Zen Mobile brand, has named Vaibhav Shastri as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this new role, he will lead the national launch of Zen Mobile and look towards strengthening the position of the company across the country.

Shastri ropes in nine years of work experience in the mobile industry. Previously, he served as the Head for mobile business in Micromax. Announcing the appointment, Deepesh Gupta, Managing Director, Zen Mobile, said Shastri is an accomplished professional and he will help build Zen Mobile into a pre-eminent brand in the industry. "He has joined us at an exciting time, just as we are expanding into new products that are evolving rapidly to keep pace with the needs of today's consumers," added Gupta.

Citing the Cellular Operators Association of India s forecast of 525 million mobile phone subscribers by 2010, Shastri said that he was looking forward to establishing Zen Mobile as one of the leading brands in India.
