Position: Senior Developer Drupal – Contract to Hire (6 months)
Minimum Qualification: Any relevant degree
An experienced web professional that is likely to have 5+ years commercial development in implementing and supporting critical web applications, significantly using Drupal and PHP technologies.
Responsibilities
Analyse existing application and formulate logic for the new system Define, document, design and build scalable products, features, and API interfaces in PHP Estimate the effort needed to deliver solutions Provide post-implementation support for systems Evaluate new technologies & tools such as new frameworks, methodologies, best practices, and other areas that will improve overall efficiencies and product quality
Skills and Attributes
Expert level PHP skills with strong OO design and programming experience Proven expertise with Drupal (preferably 1 year on Drupal 7 and e-commerce) Performance tuning, caching, refactoring, security issues of Drupal Excellent Knowledge of MySQL database, database design, query tuning etc. Experience with UI technologies such as Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Ajax Experience working under UNIX servers using Apache Experience with version control systems (GitHub, Subversion) Knowledge of testing systems (Selenium + PHPUnit) Creative and analytical skills in a problem solving environment. Good client facing skills Previous creative/web design experience preferred. Mobile and Tablet development experience desirable
