Proficient in Solaris 8, 9 & 10 - installation, configuration, performance tuning, hardening, patching
Proficient in writing and understanding Perl and Shell scripting
Good understanding of Storage Area Network (SAN) & Networking
In depth knowledge of SUN server hardware configurations ( F15K, Vxxx, etc )
Proficient in configuring and administering VERITAS Volume Manager.

Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams and clients
Expertise in Red Hat linux (RHEL5.x) /HP-UX (11.x) operating system including.

Expertise in Red Hat/HPUX OS installation with Kickstart / Patch management.

Satellite Server - OS deployment and channel management.

LVM configuration and troubleshooting including LVM recovery experience.

System performance management, analysis and troubleshooting.

This would include good experience with Linux performance tools such as top, vmstat, sar, etc.
Knowledge with Red Hat Cluster Suite in Oracle and SAP environments.
This would include Red Hat Cluster Suite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.


Eperience with Serviceguard and Continental Clusters.
This would include:
Eperience in Serviceguard installation and configuration, and good troubleshooting skills.
Particular knowledge in an SAP environment with Serviceguard enabled would be helpful
Continental configuration, and good troubleshooting skills related to Continental Cluster issues.
Experience with disaster Recovery testing, in hp-ux environments in general and in Continental Cluster environments in particular.

Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable
HP Blade servers Familiar with HP Blade system (C7000 enclosures), such as Virtual Connect configuration /10g fiber and Flex-10 modules configuration/ firmware upgrade process
Knowledge in using Remedy
Excellent Communication Skills
Should have worked in a Remote Support Environment
Certification
RHAT Certification ( RHCE & RHCDS) would be preferred
