Member Technical Staff
As a Member Technical Staffyou will work as part of a team responsible for actively participating in driving product development and strategy. In addition, you will participate in activities that include testing and debugging of operating systems that run NetApp storage applications. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, supportability, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development.

This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to take a cross-team leadership role.
A. Development (23500BR)
Mandatory Skills:
  • Strong Experience in C, C++
  • Experience in File Systems/ OS Internals/ Kernel Programming/ System Programming
  • Specialization in Protocols such as CIFS/ NFS/ SAN/ NAS/ SCSi/ iSCSI
  • Experience working in areas such as Clustering/ Virtualization/ TCP-IP/ RAID/ High Availability
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures, Multithreading and standard programming practices.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
Desirable:
  • People from research background with white papers and patents.
B. QA (23503BR)
Mandatory Skills:
  • Expertise in testing ( Manual and Automation)
  • Strong Programming skills in Perl/ Shell.
  • Experience in writing Test Cases, creating Automation Frameworks and Test Designs
  • Experience in File Systems/ OS Internals/ Kernel Programming/ System Programming
  • Specialization in Protocols such as CIFS/ NFS/ SAN/ NAS/ SCSi/ iSCSI
  • Experience working in areas such as Clustering/ Virtualization/ TCP-IP/ RAID/ High Availability
Education and Experience (Across Development and Testing):
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
Job Title:Member Technical Staff - MEG
As a Member Technical Staff you will be required to work from beginning to end. You will be responsible for a myriad of steps from design and implementation. This position will require interaction between several stakeholders including members of our engineering team, application designers, managers, and engineers on other teams. You will review the UI and API designs of your peers, implement new features as well as fix bugs and troubleshoot operational issues as they occur.

  • Strong OO design and coding skills developing reusable web application components using a model-view-presenter framework such as GWT/GXT
  • Strong in Core Java and Web GUI components
  • Experience in JSP, Servlets and web application server like Tomcat and Jetty
  • Proficient with asynchronous programming and debugging distributed systems
  • Experience building large-scale applications using JavaScript, JSON, ExtJS and Ajax

  • Good Understanding of basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures,

Mandatory Skills:
  • Strong in automation area with experience in developing framework/strong automation
  • Storage knowledge in Java, Perl, Selenium, Jenkins or any equivalent CI tools
  • Experience in Enterprise Application testing/ NMS Testing
  • Experience in Storage/ Networking/ Telecom Domain
Education and Experience:
